Final Comment/Goodbye :(

So after it is all said and done, this was my last ever piece of Uni work. I have had so much fun doing this course, and I enjoyed this Module particularly. I hope everyone who came to see my piece enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed the creative process.

To end I would like to say Goodbye to everyone and wish all my classmates and my Tutors all the Best in the future, Particularly Donald Pulford for his kind advice and support throughout this module, without which I could not have completed the process. For that and all things I an eternally thankful.

My Performance (16th May)

So today was my performance, and I felt it went quite well. My friend David Halliday recorded it for me. Quite a few of my class mates turned up, along with quite a few tutors. After the performance my classmates came up to me and told me how much they like the performance and that it was not what they expected from me. They remarked particularly on the lighting and the rain sound effect, which was what I had hoped for. The video can bee seen below.

The Chair (2nd May)

I have decided to add an armchair into my set as previously I had nothing except the small space and myself moving around interacting with the area where there is colour. I added this chair as I feel it makes the space have a central point, and makes it seem more like a room I have set the piece in. Pictures will be available in the next few posts.

Research – Colours for relaxation (20th April)

I have come across a website that explores and explains the effects of colour in history and the relationship between the mind, body and colour. It shows the meanings of certain colours and the emotions they represent. Here is an excerpt.

Color in History

In ancient history, color was appreciated not for its abstract beauty or aesthetic appeal, but for the divine symbolism ascribed to it by various ancient religions. For example, ancient Egyptian magicians wore blue breastplates to represent the sacredness of their wisdom, and in ancient Greek poetry colors such as scarlet and purple were worn to represent the violent encounter in The Iliad and Ulysses wanderings in The Odyssey. Color and colored light has even been used in some cultures to heal various physical and mental ailments.
